Description
G-Drive Arena is a modern multifunctional sports complex located in Omsk and home to the Avangard hockey club. Built on the site of the former Arena Omsk, it was constructed in record time from July 2020 to September 2022 thanks to a partnership between Gazprom Neft and the federal budget.
With a capacity of 12,011 spectators and an area of 64,000 m², G-Drive Arena offers unique conditions for hosting a variety of events. The complex is suitable for sporting events such as hockey and figure skating, as well as concerts, shows, and exhibitions. Steeply angled stands provide excellent views from any angle, and the transformable ice rink can be sized to accommodate different sports.
The arena is equipped with modern multimedia equipment, including one of the largest media cubes in the KHL. A barrier-free environment is provided for people with limited mobility: entrances without stairs, elevators with handrails, and special seats in the stands. A park with walking paths surrounds the arena.
The complex's infrastructure includes food outlets, hockey merchandise stores, a children's center, an eSports club, and the Avangard HC Museum. The navigation system was developed in collaboration with the HSE School of Design.
