On June 21, 2025, the Baku Crystal Hall will host a landmark event for fans of mixed martial arts - the UFC Fight Night 260 tournament

The main event of the evening will be a light heavyweight bout between Jamal Hill and Khalil Rountree. The two were originally scheduled to meet at UFC 303, but unforeseen circumstances prevented that from happening: Rountree was suspended due to a self-reported doping violation, while Hill was forced out due to injury. Rountree (13-6), ranked seventh in the UFC, suffered a title loss to Alex Pereira in October, snapping a five-fight winning streak. Hill (12-3), ranked fourth, is also coming off back-to-back losses to Pereira and Jiri Prochazka. In 2023, he won the vacant world title by defeating Glover Teixeira, but was forced to relinquish the title due to an Achilles tendon injury.

The event will be the UFC's first visit to Baku and will be broadcast on ABC in the United States. Other notable events include a lightweight bout between Rafael Fiziev and Ignacio Bahamondes.

The event will also see the long-awaited return of Kyoji Horiguchi to the octagon. The Japanese flyweight has not competed since 2016, but his statistics are impressive: nine of his 17 wins have come by knockout. His opponent will be Russian lightweight Tagir Ulanbekov, who ranks tenth in the UFC rankings thanks to his consistent results since 2013.

The program also includes two women's fights: Irina Alekseeva vs. Claudia Syguly and Daria Zheleznyakova vs. Melissa Mullins. In the heavyweight category, spectacular fights are expected between Hamdi Abdulvahhab and Mohammed Usman, as well as Curtis Blaydes and Rizvan Kuniyev.
