UFC Fight Night 260 will take place on June 21 at the Baku Crystal Hall

On June 21, the long-awaited event in the world of mixed martial arts, UFC Fight Night 260, will take place within the walls of the Baku Crystal Hall. This tournament will be a highlight in the sports life for all fans of exciting fights from around the world.

The organizers have already revealed some details of the upcoming fights. In the light heavyweight category, we are expecting a meeting between Jamaal Hill and Khalil Rountree. As of 2025, Hill's statistics in professional MMA are impressive: 12 wins, 3 losses and no draws. For his ability to knock out opponents, he received the nickname "Sweet Dreams". Interestingly, Jamaal began practicing martial arts only at the age of nineteen, when he took a free aikido course at the Michigan Toyota Center with coach Chad Pomeroy. After quickly gaining respect in the amateur MMA arena, he decided to turn pro and became a UFC champion five years later.

His opponent, Khalil Rountree, is known as “War Horse” for his skill and technique in the octagon. He holds the third-most knockouts in the UFC light heavyweight division with seven wins. Rountree had a difficult childhood, growing up without a father and struggling with his weight. But everything changed when he saw a TV show about a 300-pound fighter at age 20, which inspired him to take up martial arts. Six years later, Khalil made it to the finals of “The Ultimate Fighter,” vying for a spot in the UFC. In 2017, he scored a resounding victory over Paul Craig at “UFC Fight Night: Nelson vs. Ponzinibbio.” Rountree is known for his love of music and dancing, especially the disco group Village People, and his furry friend, Bruce the Dog. His fighting style is simple and effective, and he is an inspiration to black youth in America. Today, he has hundreds of thousands of fans both online and offline.
