Tim Welch has expressed his concerns about his protégé's potential fight with Umar Nurmagomedov.

Sean O'Malley will be defending his belt against Umar, and Tim Welch is seriously concerned about the fight. Umar has a background in Muay Thai from his famous uncle Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, making him a dangerous opponent. His technical skills allow him to effectively deal with titled fighters, and many experts believe that the presence of Sean O'Malley and Petr Yan in the top division UFC may be temporary.

Sean O'Malley recently won a unanimous decision over Merab Dvalishvili to rapturous applause. However, Welch is wary of a meeting with Umar, who has proven himself to be a powerful fighter who does not slow down the pace of his attacks. Umar Nurmagomedov has every chance to enter the top three of the division and win the championship belt, which makes him a formidable force that his opponents rightly fear.
